An eight-year-old boy tragically died after falling from the window of a house in Nottingham, police confirmed. Nottinghamshire Police responded to a call at 7.15 pm on Wednesday at Costock Avenue in Sherwood, after East Midlands Ambulance Service reported that a child had fallen from a house window. The boy was rushed to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham but succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities continued to investigate the incident at the scene on Wednesday evening. Chief Inspector Jon Scurr expressed condolences, saying, “This is a tragic and devastating loss of life, and our thoughts are with the boy’s family and loved ones.” He urged anyone with information to come forward promptly. The police requested anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact them on 101, quoting incident 671 of September 18, 2024.
