Monday’s warning, covering much of Wales, warns of significant rainfall amounts developing rapidly in some areas.
The Met Office alerts that 30-50mm of rainfall could occur in six hours or less in parts of England and Wales on Monday, with some areas experiencing even higher accumulations. The warning areas include the East Midlands, east of England, London, south east England, north east England, north west and south west England, West Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber, and Wales. The Met Office warns of potential impacts such as flooded roads, power cuts, and delays to transport services.
The affected counties in Wales include Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan, and Wrexham.
