Princess Kate takes major step with Royal event plans

Princess Kate has been busy preparing for one of the highlights of the Royal calendar, her annual Christmas carol service. According to the Court Circular, Kate recently held a meeting at Windsor Castle to discuss the event with her Royal Foundation aides and members. This marks only the fourth time she has been mentioned in the Court Circular, the official record of Royal engagements, since her cancer health scare began earlier this year.

The service is set to take place at Westminster Abbey for the fourth consecutive year and will be aired on ITV on Christmas Eve. As in previous years, the princess is expected to host the service, likely joined by her husband, children, and other Royal family members. Kate recently shared the news of her completed chemotherapy treatment in a deeply personal video with her family, stating her focus was “doing what I can to stay cancer-free”.

The princess has been undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer since late February, while the King started his cancer treatment earlier that month following a diagnosis of an enlarged prostate. Despite undergoing treatment, Kate has been quietly working behind the scenes, meeting with her staff and representatives from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, although these engagements were not officially recorded.

She made an appearance at the King’s birthday parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, in June. In July, she presented the men’s Wimbledon final trophy to Carlos Alcaraz. Both of these events were noted in the Court Circular.
