Tesco shopper shares ‘little known’ code that helps them get free items

A Tesco shopper in Wales has revealed a little-known code that allows them to receive free items while shopping online. By entering the six-letter code ‘SAMPLE’, shoppers can access various free food, drink, and household items. The shopper shared her experience on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, where she detailed receiving a free bag of Fairy Dishwasher Tablets during her recent online shop.

The shopper, named Lisa, posted a screenshot of the free samples she received for no cost along with the tip for other Tesco customers. She mentioned that the available free samples change regularly. Although in the screenshot it showed the items costing 1p, a disclaimer clarified that customers would not be charged the 1p at checkout. The offer is subject to availability, requires a £50 minimum basket spend, and is available online only, excluding Whoosh, with Clubcard required, while delivery and Click+Collect charges apply.

Apart from the free Fairy Dishwasher Tablets, Lisa also claimed a free sample of Coca-Cola Zero Lemon. The post quickly attracted likes and comments, with many users sharing their experiences with the free samples. The selection is said to change frequently and is available for a limited time. Tesco’s website allows users to search for ‘free sample’ to see the current offerings.

Comments from other users included experiences of successfully claiming free samples like Foster’s Proper Shandy Lager Beer and Cheetos Sweet & Spicy Flamin’ Hot Flavour Corn Puffs. However, some users reported items being out of stock when trying to claim the free samples. The free samples range from household items to food and drink, providing an added incentive for Tesco online shoppers.

The shared code and the process of claiming free items have ignited a buzz among Tesco customers, with many keen to make use of this money-saving opportunity. This exciting discovery adds value to the Tesco online shopping experience by giving customers the chance to enjoy complimentary products while they stock up on their regular groceries and household essentials.
