Stunning trail running event announced in the heart of the Brecon Beacons

A new exciting trail running event has been announced in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, one of the UK’s most popular national parks. The RunThrough Trails event will provide runners with an opportunity to challenge themselves while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Welsh national park. Designed for experienced trail runners, the event offers three different distances to cater to varying levels of fitness and expertise.

The event, part of the RunThrough Trails SUMMIT Series, includes a 10K route, a 24K (15 miles) route, and a demanding 51K ultra race (equivalent to 32 miles). Participants will start from the village of Talybont-on-Usk and navigate through the hills and valleys of the picturesque Brecon Beacons along marked routes. The longer distances will have multiple aid stations to support runners with refuelling and hydration as they tackle the challenging terrain.

Scheduled for Saturday, 9 August 2025, the Brecon Beacons 10K, 24K, and 51K Ultra event is now open for registration. With limited spaces available, runners are encouraged to secure their spots early. James Tilley, the race director at RunThrough Trails, expressed excitement about introducing this new trail running event to the Brecon Beacons, known for its scenic and demanding trails.

The event promises an adventure through rugged terrain, climbs, and descents, offering a unique opportunity for trail running enthusiasts to push their limits in a stunning natural setting.
