Beloved TV doctor and journalist Dr Michael Mosley’s final docuseries is set to hit the screens tonight. Despite his tragic passing, the first part of the documentary, titled Michael Mosley: Wonders of The Human Body, will air on Channel 5 this evening. The show focuses on ageing and improving health, with Dr Mosley having worked on it shortly before his death at the age of 67 while walking on a Greek island in June.
A team spent four days searching the island of Symi before locating Dr Mosley’s body. Greek authorities concluded that he died of natural causes, with an inquest scheduled for November 14. In the upcoming series, Dr Mosley travels around the UK, meeting patients and health experts. The first episode features a visit to Fife, Scotland, where he meets a man preparing for brain surgery, explores the benefits of cold water swimming, and investigates a test to predict heart problems ahead of time.
Dr Mosley, known for his medical advice on various TV and radio shows like The One Show, had a significant impact with programmes like Trust Me, I’m a Doctor and Who Made Britain Fat? The 5:2 diet, popularised through his book The Fast Diet, is among his notable works. Survived by his wife and children, Dr Mosley’s final series will air on Channel 5 tonight at 8 pm.
