Police in Cardiff are investigating a video that surfaced showing a hooded man throwing an object that smashed a window of a football supporters’ bus in Cardiff. The incident occurred while Middlesbrough fans were parked and enjoying drinks in a pub before their team’s match against Cardiff City in the Championship clash on Saturday.
According to a fan from the Middlesbrough Supporters Forum, the bus had one of its windows smashed, but the driver was able to chase the perpetrator away and provide details to the police. The fans were reportedly having a great time in a nearby pub with locals when the incident occurred, and residents came out to assist in cleaning up the glass. Fortunately, the bus was still able to travel home safely.
A spokesperson from South Wales Police stated that they are aware of the video circulating on social media, showing the alleged vandalism on the Middlesbrough supporters’ coach. An investigation into the matter is ongoing. Meanwhile, the match at Cardiff City stadium ended with a 2-0 win for Middlesbrough, with goals from Matt Clarke and an own goal by Bluebirds captain Aaron Ramsey.
