Shona Hirons, 49, from Portishead, underwent a series of life-altering events after a crash in 2017, which left her in a coma. Prior to the accident, Shona was living a fast-paced life, working 80-hour weeks as a lawyer, and neglecting her health and relationships. The crash led to multiple health issues, including heart problems, a stroke, cancer, and contracting Covid-19. Shona’s marriage also ended, plunging her into further despair.
Reflecting on her experiences while recovering in the hospital, Shona realised the need for a significant change in her mindset and lifestyle. She made the decision to leave her legal career, began studying nutrition and life coaching, and eventually transitioned into a role as a personal trainer. Despite facing numerous challenges, including a mini-stroke, heart surgery, burnout, and a battle with cancer, Shona emerged stronger and more determined to lead a fulfilling life.
