The 43rd Admiral Swansea Bay 10k event is set to take place in September, attracting runners to the scenic sweep of Swansea Bay. The main race will start and finish from Mumbles Road opposite the recreation ground at 11am, with participants following a course from Mumbles Road west to Oystermouth Square and back along the promenade to Brynmill Lane. Road closures, traffic diversions, and parking restrictions will be in place to ensure the event’s safe facilitation.
The race village will be situated on the recreation ground’s grassed section. Scheduled road closures on race day include Mumbles Road being closed in both directions between St Helen’s Rugby Ground and the bottom of Sketty Lane from 5.30am to 4pm. Additionally, various sections of Mumbles Road will experience closures and diversions between 10.30am and 1.30pm, with access for emergency vehicles maintained throughout.
Organisers have noted that the closures will be lifted on a rolling basis as soon as it is safe to do so. Parking on Bryn Road will be suspended to allow emergency vehicle access during the event.
