Vet names dog breeds she’d ‘never own’ – including one she brands ‘neurotic’

A veterinary technician named Connie, in the process of becoming a veterinarian, has garnered attention for sharing her opinions on dog breeds she would avoid owning, labelling one as ‘neurotic’. Connie’s TikTok video listing her least preferred breeds has attracted over 20 million viewers, where she described them as breeds she would not own as a veterinary technician and explained her reasoning behind each choice.

First on Connie’s list is the Goldendoodle, a controversial mix of Golden Retriever and Poodle, which she believes should not exist. She criticised the breed for potential health problems, poor grooming, and aggression issues, referring to them as ‘bat**** crazy, neurotic psychopaths’. Despite her outspoken views, the Goldendoodle is popular among buyers in the UK. Continuing her critique, Connie singled out breeds like the Samoyed, Japanese Shiba Inu, Beagle, Mini Poodle, Great Dane, Basset Hound, French Bulldog, Corgi, German Shepherd, Pug, Westie, Husky, and Chinese Chow Chow, explaining why she would not consider owning them due to various reasons ranging from health issues to temperament concerns.

Connie’s assessments resonated with many viewers, with some sharing similar experiences with the breeds she critiqued. While her opinions may be controversial, they have sparked discussions on responsible dog ownership and breed-specific considerations. Connie’s candid evaluations shed light on different aspects to consider when choosing a dog breed that aligns with an owner’s lifestyle and capabilities.
