Surprisingly, the Cocker Spaniel is fourth on the list. Despite their cheerful temperament, aggression can be relatively common in this breed, particularly in golden-coloured dogs. Unprovoked aggression, known as Spaniel Rage, can manifest in these dogs.
Rottweilers, often associated with security and guard dog roles, are third on the list. These large, working dogs require experienced owners who can provide ample exercise and mental stimulation due to their sharp intellects and protective instincts.
Some might underestimate the fear factor of Chihuahuas, but Dr. Anwary includes them on his list. Despite their small size, these dogs can exhibit challenging behaviours such as begging, separation anxiety, and nipping tendencies. However, their loyalty and amusing personalities are notable traits.
Topping the vet’s list is the Belgian Malinois or Belgian Shepherd Dog. These dogs are known for their agility, intelligence, and protective nature. Traditionally used for herding or guarding, they require owners who understand their high energy levels and sharp minds.
