Mike Tindall’s sharp one-word dig about Prince Harry after event ‘snub’

Former England rugby star Mike Tindall has reportedly made a sharp one-word comment about Prince Harry following what was perceived as a snub at a significant Royal gathering. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to Montecito, California, in 2020 and subsequently stepped back from their working royal roles. However, they returned to Britain for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations.

At the Platinum Party held at Buckingham Palace in June 2022, which was attended by numerous royals, Prince Harry was notably absent. It is reported that Tindall, who is celebrating his 46th birthday, described Harry’s behaviour to a guest as that of a “b******”. While Harry and Meghan did partake in the thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral, they did not have an extensive involvement in the jubilee festivities.

During the service, Zara Tindall, Mike’s wife and the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth, was seen conversing with Meghan. On the other hand, Harry either sat next to the Earl of Snowdon or kept to himself throughout the event. Body language expert Judi James noted that Mike appeared to have “snubbed” Harry by engaging with other guests while exiting St Paul’s, whereas Zara seemed willing to chat with the Sussexes.

James suggested that Mike’s customary easy-going demeanor seemed to change during the event, possibly due to his proximity to Prince William. He was observed speaking with Viscount Lindley, who in turn turned his back on Harry, isolating the two men from Zara’s conversation with Harry. Despite the dynamics at play, Mike’s behaviour during the event stood out, as he usually appears laid-back and uninvolved in politics.

The complex relationship between Mike Tindall and Prince Harry was highlighted by this incident at the jubilee celebration, indicating underlying tensions that may exist within the Royal family.
