Hip hop icon Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has found himself at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in New York, the same facility where British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was held before her conviction on sex trafficking charges. This jail is notorious for its harsh conditions and is said to be even more restrictive than a supermax prison in America. Diddy is facing accusations of abusing women for over a decade and orchestrating sexual activities called “Freak Offs”.
The transition to life in MDC marks a stark contrast to Diddy’s former lavish lifestyle. Inside the facility, he will endure strict surveillance, invasive searches, and a challenging environment that some have not survived. Notably, the menu offers simple meal options like turkey roast or tofu with rice, boiled potatoes, beets, and whole wheat bread.
Despite efforts by Diddy’s lawyer to secure his release with a $50 million bond package, the judge decided to keep him in custody due to concerns about potential flight risks and interference with the investigation. Prosecutors describe Diddy as a serial abuser who used force, intimidation, and bribery to maintain secrecy around his alleged actions.
