A significant number of customers of TSB, a high street lender, have reported missing benefit and salary payments due to a systems error. The problem began in the early hours of the morning, affecting some Bacs (Bankers’ Automated Clearing System) payments and persisting throughout the day. Many customers took to social media to express frustration over not receiving crucial payments such as salaries and child benefits.
TSB acknowledged the issue and assured customers that they were working on a solution. Despite the bank’s efforts to rectify the situation, numerous customers continued to experience delays in accessing their funds. A TSB spokeswoman stated, “We’re aware of an issue with some Bacs payments not yet showing on customers’ accounts. We are working on fixing this and will provide an update as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, concerns have mounted among employees and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) claimants who rely on these payments for their livelihood. The ongoing online banking glitches have exacerbated the financial strain on individuals who depend on these funds for essential expenses.
The persistence of the TSB glitch has raised questions about the reliability of the banking system and the impact of such technical failures on customers’ financial stability. As the issue continues to unfold, affected individuals are left waiting for a resolution to ensure they receive the payments they rely on for their daily needs.
