A prolific criminal, Dylan Forbes, was sentenced to a total of five-and-a-half years in prison for his involvement in drug dealing. Forbes’ criminal activities came to light after a high-speed police chase in Swansea led to the recovery of his phones and a stash of cocaine. The court heard that another individual who was with Forbes during the chase has since fled the UK, with the Border Agency alerted to prevent his return.
Forbes, with a history of various offences including assaults, blackmail, and drug supply, was found to continue selling cocaine even after receiving a suspended prison sentence for a previous attack. Police officers discovered drugs and drug-related items in Forbes’ house during a search, linking him to cocaine supply from March 2024 until his arrest.
Despite Forbes refusing to cooperate during interviews, evidence from his phones revealed his involvement in drug dealing. The court was told that Forbes had a blatant disregard for court orders and was well-aware of the consequences of his criminal actions.
In sentencing Forbes, the judge emphasised the need for him to choose a different path in life as he approaches his 30s. Forbes was told he could either continue offending and face longer prison terms or opt for a positive change. With a one-quarter discount for his guilty pleas, Forbes received a five-and-a-half-year prison term, including activating a previously suspended sentence for assault.
