Woman left with ‘toasted skin syndrome’ after using electric heater

“Toasted skin syndrome,” a long-term exposure to heat, can lead to symptoms like reticulated erythema, hyperpigmentation, and telangiectasias in the affected area. Despite feeling disappointed in herself for the unintentional damage caused, Sarah pointed out that the rash itself did not itch or cause pain, eventually fading away after she stopped using the heater.
