A bride and groom from Northamptonshire saved approximately £2,000 on their wedding day by choosing to shop at Aldi for their floral decorations. Rachel Pishhorn and Tom Jolley opted to make their own wedding bouquets and decorations using flowers purchased from Aldi, their favourite supermarket. They utilised Beautiful Blooms Large Mixed Bouquets priced at £5.99 to create eight bridesmaids’ bouquets, Carnations at £2.39 and Chrysanthemums at £2.79 for the bride’s bouquet, Alstroemeria at £2.25, and Rose Duo Bouquet at £4.99 for the wedding tables’ floral arrangements. Additionally, they used dried petals from Aldi to make their own wedding confetti, further saving them money.
Impressed with the quality and affordability of Aldi’s flowers, the bride, Rachel, reached out to the supermarket to express her gratitude. The couple was pleasantly surprised when Aldi decided to cover the cost of the flowers as a wedding gift for them. Rachel Pishhorn, who works as a teacher, mentioned that they were taken aback by the expenses associated with weddings, particularly items like flowers that can cost thousands. Given their positive experience with Aldi’s products, they decided to incorporate Aldi flowers into their wedding plans.
Julie Ashfield, the Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, expressed the supermarket’s pride in providing customers with high-quality products at affordable prices, helping them celebrate special moments without breaking the bank. JZ Flowers, Aldi’s flower supplier since 1995, further assisted in making Rachel and Tom’s wedding day memorable. The couple was elated with their beautiful wedding flowers and appreciated Aldi going the extra mile to contribute to their special day.
The bride’s gratitude and Aldi’s generosity in covering the cost of the flowers highlight the supermarket’s commitment to providing customers with quality products at competitive prices. The couple’s decision to opt for Aldi for their wedding flowers not only saved them a significant amount of money but also added a personal touch to their special day.
