Ashley Davies has been found guilty of murdering Conall Evans in a stabbing incident outside a hospital. Conall Evans tragically lost his life at the age of 30 after suffering a fatal stab wound to the chest near Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital car park in Tonypandy on New Year’s Day. The victim was discovered seriously injured and later succumbed to a single knife wound.
After a 10-day trial at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, Davies, residing in Forge Road, Pentre, was convicted of murder. He awaits sentencing on October 18, where he is expected to receive a life imprisonment sentence. Senior investigating officer Dai Butt of South Wales Police expressed hope that the guilty verdict would provide closure to Conall’s family, acknowledging the far-reaching impact of knife crime.
