A body has been found in the search for a missing man, police have confirmed. Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that the discovery was made on the afternoon of Thursday, October 3. A police search team, police helicopter and mountain rescue team had been searching for the 56-year-old, reported missing from his home in Cradoc Road, Brecon. He was last seen walking towards Brecon town on Monday, September 30, at 9.15am, Dyfed-Powys Police said.
He was described as wearing a red rugby top, blue jeans, red cap, black jacket and had white shoes with red on them. Police had asked people to check outbuildings, such as garages and sheds, and review their private CCTV cameras, video doorbells and dashcam footage in case they might have captured him in the area since the date he went missing.
A statement from Dyfed-Powys Police read: “We can confirm that a body has been found this afternoon, Thursday, October 3, during the search for Geraint, who had been reported missing from the Brecon area. Formal identification has not yet taken place; however, Geraint’s family has been informed of this development. Our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult time.”
