The body of an 18-year-old girl, believed to be Mike Lynch’s daughter, has been discovered in the wreckage of a luxury yacht off the coast of Sicily. This finding marks the recovery of all missing passengers from the sunken yacht. The Italian Coastguard located the sixth and final missing person, who was on board the yacht when it sank during a storm. Vincenzo Zagarola of the Italian Coastguard described the search for Hannah as challenging, likening the sunken yacht to an “18-storey building full of water.” The passengers lost in the tragic incident include Mike Lynch, his daughter Hannah, Morgan Stanley International bank chairman Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy Bloomer, Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo, and his wife Neda Morvillo.
The search and recovery operation was conducted by an Italian fire service dive team over five days before the final missing passenger was located. The sinking of the Bayesian yacht occurred around 5 am local time on Monday. The tragic event has brought an end to the search for the missing individuals.
