Build-A-Bear rolling back prices to 1997 for one day only with £9 bear

Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating National Teddy Bear Day, and on September 9, the company will roll back prices to 1997 for one day only. The special offer will feature the Lil’ Cub bear, one of the company’s all-time best-selling products, being sold for just £9. This promotion marks the year Build-A-Bear started, and it will be available at participating Workshops and online.

The annual celebration of National Teddy Bear Day has become a tradition for Build-A-Bear, which has sold over 240 million furry friends worldwide. As part of the festivities, the Build-A-Bear Foundation will donate more than 10,000 teddy bears to children in need. This initiative is part of the Foundation’s goal to provide 100,000 teddy bears to children by the end of 2024.

Sharon Price John, President & CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop, emphasised the company’s commitment to providing comfort and companionship through furry friends. National Teddy Bear Day acknowledges the significance of teddy bears in various milestones and moments of joy. Customers can also personalise their teddy bears with a range of accessories, outfits, sounds, and scents.

In addition to the special offer, Build-A-Bear’s in-store activities include a meet-and-greet with their life-sized mascot, Bearemy. The promotion underscores the brand’s dedication to expanding access to teddy bears and spreading joy through their lovable furry friends.

As Build-A-Bear enthusiasts eagerly await September 9, the company’s gesture of rolling back prices to 1997 provides a nostalgic opportunity for customers to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day. The company’s philanthropic efforts further highlight their commitment to spreading love and happiness through the magic of teddy bears.
