The incident occurred on Sunday night, with foreign police summoned to manage the situation. Video footage taken by passengers shows police boarding the aircraft upon landing at around 9 pm UK time. One man was escorted off the plane amidst commotion, followed by a woman engaging in a physical altercation with another passenger before being intervened by officers.
Passenger accounts revealed that a man instigated the conflict with a woman, resulting in the aircraft making an unexpected stop in France. Max Ramsons described witnessing disruptive behaviour escalating into a physical fight, leaving the plane stranded in Toulouse. After refuelling, the flight resumed its route to Ibiza approximately 90 minutes later. Flight tracking data displayed that the aircraft circled over southern France before diverting to Toulouse.
A spokesperson for Ryanair confirmed that due to the actions of a small group of disruptive passengers, two individuals were removed from the flight, prompting the diversion.
