The 57-year-old TV personality, known for her role in the popular show, revealed she had a tumour in her head the size of a golf ball. The diagnosis came after she experienced slurred speech and blurred vision five years ago. Fortunately, the tumour was non-malignant, and she underwent surgery promptly.
Chapman, a former publicist for iconic music acts like the Spice Girls and Take That, as well as a TV and radio presenter, spoke about her emotional response to the diagnosis. She expressed gratitude for her life’s experiences and found the strength to face the challenge head-on. After taking a break for treatment, she returned to work just six weeks post-operation.
In addition to her TV work, Chapman recently released a memoir titled “So Tell Me What You Want,” documenting her career in the music industry. Reflecting on her hosting role on Escape to the Country since 2009, she highlighted the show’s focus on showcasing a different lifestyle to viewers, beyond just buying a home.
