Money Saving Expert has issued an urgent warning to Disney Plus subscribers ahead of price hikes set to take effect from Thursday, October 17. The advice urges customers to act quickly and make necessary changes before Wednesday, October 16 at 11:59 pm to avoid increased fees.
Four Disney+ plans are due to experience price rises this month. The changes will see Disney+ Standard Monthly increase from £7.99 to £8.99, Disney+ Standard Annually rise from £79.90 to £89.90, Disney+ Premium Monthly jump from £10.99 to £12.99, and Disney+ Premium Annually go up from £109.90 to £129.90. However, subscribers on Disney+ Standard with Ads Monthly plan will continue to pay the current price of £4.99 per month.
Those affected by the price hike will start paying the new amounts from November 21, 2024. To retain the old prices for a longer period, subscribers need to switch to the Standard with Ads plan or sign up for an annual subscription before the deadline. By opting for an annual subscription before prices rise, customers can save significantly over the year.
Disney Plus remains a prominent competitor in the UK streaming market, offering a range of popular titles including ‘Only Murders in the Building’, Marvel movies, and Star Wars films. The platform’s continued growth and appeal make it essential for subscribers to consider their subscription options carefully to avoid unnecessary costs.
