Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus has opened up about her remarkable nine-stone weight loss, attributing her transformation to a profound revelation. The Scottish singer, 44, shared that thoughts of not being there for her children in case she passed away spurred her to embark on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle. McManus confessed to harboring feelings of shame due to enduring negative body-related comments from the media for many years.

During an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, McManus emphasised the importance of prioritising inner happiness over external expectations of body image.
