The players, named as Keiron Phillips, Rhys Phillips, Lloyd Riley, Kian Harris, Luke Studley, Dylan John, Liam Williams, and James Norman, sustained lacerations to their hands while widening the gap in the fence multiple times to ensure everyone could escape safely. The incident took place at Rizla House on Treforest Industrial Estate in Rhondda Cynon Taf last December, resulting in a tragic loss of life.
Despite the chaos and danger, the players worked together to assist those trapped amidst the fires rapidly spreading towards them.
