Joshua Jones, 23, with 21 previous offences related to former partners, was sentenced to 30 months in prison at Swansea Crown Court. The victim stated that she can no longer wear clothes tight around her neck due to the trauma. The court heard that despite a restraining order, Jones resumed contact with his ex in early 2024, culminating in a violent incident in March where he strangled her, poured make-up and disinfectant on her clothes, and sent threatening messages. Jones, now of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to various charges including breaching the restraining order and strangulation.
