Woman breaks nose and teeth in Dirty Dancing accident on holiday

A woman experienced a mishap while attempting a ‘Dirty Dancing’ lift with her boyfriend on holiday, resulting in a broken nose and missing front teeth. Flo Bragg, 27, was in Provence, France when the incident occurred. The couple, feeling bored, decided to recreate the iconic lift from the famous 1987 film starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze. Unfortunately, during the attempt, Flo collided face-first into a wall, leading to the loss of her two front teeth and a broken nose.

Following the accident on September 19, 2024, Flo’s partner rushed her to the hospital where her teeth were temporarily reattached. The injuries left her unable to enjoy the remainder of her holiday as she had difficulties eating and had to avoid sun exposure on her face. Now back in the UK, Flo is seeking to raise £270 for her dental treatment, including x-rays and a double root canal, as well as covering medical bills incurred in France.

Reflecting on the incident, Flo shared, “I ended up with one broken nose, one split lip, and two lost teeth over a lift.” She hopes to garner funds to aid in her recovery process. The accident serves as a cautionary tale of the risks involved in attempting stunts without proper training or precautions, even for fun. Flo’s story highlights the importance of safety and awareness when engaging in physical activities, especially during leisure time.

As Flo navigates her path to recovery and raises awareness about the potential consequences of impulsive actions, her experience serves as a reminder to others to prioritize caution and responsibility, ensuring a safe and enjoyable holiday for all.
