A young boy has died after reportedly falling from a window in Nottingham. Multiple emergency services crews responded to the incident, with the aim of saving him. The eight-year-old child was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre but sadly passed away. Nottinghamshire Police have labelled the incident as ‘tragic’. The authorities were alerted at 7.15pm on Wednesday, September 18, to Costock Avenue by East Midlands Ambulance Service. Paramedics were on the scene after reports of a child falling from a house window. Police are now conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
One resident told NottinghamshireLive: “I heard it all going off and looked out of my window. I came out in my pyjamas. A neighbour found the boy and then soon after there was police, ambulance, paramedics here. The street was full. The police escorted them to the hospital.” Chief Inspector Jon Scurr expressed: “This is a tragic and devastating loss of life, and our thoughts are with the boy’s family and loved ones. I would like to thank those that have already reported information to us, and would urge anyone who hasn’t yet done so, to please make contact as soon as possible. We are acutely aware that incidents of this nature are incredibly distressing for all concerned, and are felt by the entire community.
