Addressing her 1.3 million followers, the 57-year-old TV host shared, “And just like that she was off! That tiny helpless baby we brought home from hospital 18 yrs ago has gone to #uni! Just like thousands of other parents this weekend I was playing that game of #student jenga trying to get it all in the car.” Kate expressed pride in her daughter, Darcey, as she embarks on this new chapter, also acknowledging the absence of her late husband: “Such an emotional moment on so many levels and boy is the house quiet. In an Instagram video, Kate can be seen struggling to fit a cardboard box into her car boot, noting, “I actually don’t think this is going to fit and it’s a massive boot as well. Thank goodness there’s just two of us, so I’m going to see if I can get it on the backseat.” Lightening the mood, she unveils that the box contains heels rather than books, and cheekily remarks about the chaos of the moment: “She thinks she’s so different to me, but when it comes to general chaos and kafuffle, she’s actually quite like me.”
