Mr Main was initially treated at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff before being transferred to Edinburgh, where he passed away almost a month later.
Two men have been charged in connection with the incident on Princess Way in Swansea, with a prosecution in Wales relying on the findings of a post mortem examination to finalize indictments. Despite efforts to have the examination done in Wales, it has been confirmed that the procedure will take place in Scotland under the jurisdiction of the Scottish authorities.
Joseph Dix and Macauley Ruddock, both from Somerset, have been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. A provisional trial date has been set for January 6 next year, with both men currently on remand at HMP Swansea. Reflecting on the loss of her brother, Sharon Leebody described Andrew as a devoted family man, beloved brother, father, and uncle, highlighting his positive impact on those around him.
